Tatonka Kiruna 2 Tent - "The verdict is a resounding double thumbs up, triple A-plus rating."

Dan Curley (The Hunters Club)

Noticeably light in weight and very easy to assemble (one of the most simple I have ever used). The tunnel configuration was very good when faced into a strong northerly wind that we endured throughout our trip.

I was very impressed with the tent and think it should be very popular for hunters. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who is serious about good gear.” - Dan Curley, The Hunters Club

“If you’re into the outdoors, into trekking remote places, and if you’re in the market for a new tent, look no further: Tatonka’s new Kiruna tent is a standout in the market and is certainly on my bucket list.

The verdict is a resounding double thumbs up, triple A-plus rating.

There are some pretty simple (but important reasons) why I will pick this tent over any other, I’ll run through them here…

Price –the Kiruna is set at a good mid-upper price point. When you’re relying on your shelter in extreme conditions you want to know you’ve got quality and dependability to keep you warm and dry and that’s what you’ll get with this tent.

Build Quality – the stitching is exceptional, the footing sleeves for the tent poles are the most rugged I’ve come across, and the three-point guy ropes all scream durability in adverse conditions.Tatonka Kiruna 2 (Hamish Carnachan, Fish & Game magazine)

Speed – I’ve never come across a tent that can be pitched so fast. The tent is up in under 60 seconds. When you’re in nasty conditions, having the ability to set up your shelter lightening quick counts for a lot!

Weight – At 2.3kg this is very light two-person tent. But (and here’s the really cool bit) I managed to strip that down to less than 1.4kg by dispensing with the inner. As mentioned above, because the poles are fed into sleeves on the fly, all the structure is in the outer layer, meaning you can use the fly as an awesome bivvy with loads of space for two people, and all their gear, all for under 1.4kg packed! That is simply awesome!

So, all up, there’s little wonder this tent is receiving rave reviews from the hunting and ultra-light trekking fraternity – it deserves the accolades.” - Hamish Carnachan, Fish & Game Magazine
